I retired from the Marine Corps approx 2 years ago. Prior to my getting out I injured my knee and shoulder. This injury delayed me from starting my new career in law enforcement. I took a interim job (lowpaying) while healing. During that time I was unaware that our family finances were in trouble, I believed I had put enough money away to weather through hard times. My wife has always been the money handler due to my unstable travel schedule. This unfortunately has not worked out. I was hired by a law enforcement agency approx 1 year ago and am now making enough moey to pay our bills.
I recently found out that I am going to lose my home to forclosure. This was due to not paying on my second mortgage. By the time I found this out it was to late to work out anytype of repayment plan with my mortgage company.(my wife had been trying to work it out without me knowing) The sell is now approx 3 weeks away and I am going to lose my home. If it was just me I probably wouldn't be so stressed. Unfortunately I have a son who is starting his Sr. year of high school, a daughter who is a Sophmore, and my wife's ailing parents who live with us.
I am wondering if anyone out there might know of an agency that may be able to help me. I appreciate any assistance. Thanks
